GBCH Acute Hospital Care

Through Health NZ, Golden Bay Community Health has 5 acute beds.  These beds can be utilised in a variety of ways.  We can support palliative care patients in Golden Bay who require inpatient care and support.  We also provide respite care beds to allow carers in the community to have a rest, whilst we care for their loved one.  We can prevent admission to Nelson Hospital by providing acute management of patients if they do not require specialist medical intervention.

Opening Hours

Open visiting hours, however, the facility is locked after 6 pm so please ring the doorbell if you wish to visit after 6 pm.
